www.THINTUITION.com. Exercise, nutrition and weight loss are three separate and distinct ideas that our culture has collapsed into one idea when we think about losing weight. Therein lies the problem. Exercise for weight loss If you are overeating, it’s almost impossible to exercise enough to counteract the effects. It takes a 200 pound person 30 minutes, walking 2 miles per hour, to burn off 1 ounce of tortilla chips or 2 tablespoons of ranch dressing. If the main reason for exercising is to lose weight by burning calories, can you ever really win that game? Nutrition for weight loss: Choosing foods based on their content doesn’t produce long-term weight loss. If certain foods made you thin, you’d be thin today. Eating more nutritious foods will make your body run better, just as better gasoline makes your car run better. But that’s all they will do. Even steamed veggies will make you fat if eat them when you are not hungry. Giving your body more food than it needs, regardless of its content, is still overeating, and the reason for weight gain. I, personally, tend to make wholesome food choices. I believe that this contributes to my health. I also am dedicated to vigorous daily exercise. I love it and I believe it contributes to making me fit. However, neither my food choices nor my exercise habits is the reason I have maintained my goal weight for more than five years. I have maintained my goal weight simply because I no longer overeat.

  • Inspire2Act says:

Thank you. I know my body is fine now, but I also know that I have had a much leaner stronger physique in the past. This has little to do w/ society and much to do about how I feel. Everyone has a preference and this is mine. I love being curvy and I also love being athletic and lean. I range between the 2. I am glad you like what you see. BTW, no BF. Been single for 2 years now.

  • TheLittleRedKing says:

So simple, yet so meaningful. We don’t need any fancy weight loss medicine to make our bodies function, as our predecessors didn’t either. All we really need is good mindset and a strength of will, which we hope to gain through expensive supplements and long term gym memberships which are hardly used.

  • Forsure3333 says:

I”ve seen so many videos on weight-loss. But that guy IS the best!

  • exoticbeb says:

thanks..Did you notice that you were having more bowel movements as you were loosing weight? I mean your body has to excrete the excess fat and calories some how.

  • liplylips says:

omg so its about eating ONLY when you are hungry and having portion control?

  • qiplayer says:

eat&run, only possible in restaurants. This how it works: You eat a complete meal, and start the sport activity just finished the meal by running away. Is’t also healthy for your wallet :)))

  • healthyemily00 says:

Such great ways to think about this. I myself would love some creative ideas to achieve this.

  • LetMePwnU69 says:

you are absolutely right, our bodies is our main powerhouse and will take in only what it needs and overeating regardless of what it is will cause weight gain ^.^ finnaly a video with great common sense :)

  • bucky4122 says:

dieting is way too hard. its better to just eat well and work out and you could still lose fat. muscle really helps cover over fat too.

  • splurge100 says:

I agree with you. Exercise as a way to burn calories is hard compared to simply eating less.

My recent video experiment showed how hard it is to burn just 120 calories. I actually suspected something was wrong with my calorie counting watch.

Putting on muscle is a good approach that exercise can help with. Then you burn more calories even while you rest.

You look good for somebody who lost so much weight. I would expect saggy skin to be left over.

  • FollowMyFatLoss says:

Valuable information … thanks for sharing it.

  • mesomorph256 says:

if you want to make sure you don’t ever get fat again, gain 50 lbs of muscle tissue. after that, you will even find it hard to eat enough to fulfill your daily calorie needs as i do. because muscle tissue consumes trmendous amounts of energy, the more muscular you are, the better will be your ability to lose fat without cardio and stay lean.

  • DianaMarie777 says:

I think more people need to see this site :)

  • mberanek1 says:

I would like to hear more from him.

  • Migvill says:

i hate yo yo dieting lol… i used to be like i think about 170 or 160.. then i gained till 210.. then i burned to 200.. then to 190.. then to 180.. then to 174.. now im 181..

  • Marcoosianism says:

hehe, come on … where did you get this from? Organically farmed produce has consistantly been shown to contain significantly less pesticides as well as a greater amount of individual nutrients than conventional produce regularly sprayed with pesticides, herbicides and fungicides and grown in chemically enriched (essentially dead) soil. Only in extreme cases do the organic standards allow the use of some form of limited pest control on certain crops.

  • jamil420 says:

    great video mate

  • BASBERT says:

How do I NOT over eat? =’(

  • AmioliaFranciosa says:

also, if you exercise before a meal, your metabolism will be higher and you will burn the food you eat after exercise much faster than you would without exercising first. also, every pound of muscle weight you put on due to exercise helps you burn more calories in everyday activities.

  • AmioliaFranciosa says:

sure, overeating is a a big problem. however, what you eat do matter. eating some kind of starch with fast carbs (like pasta) compared to eating the same amount of calories but very high in fiber makes a different. fast carbs makes you full - for a short while. then you will get hungry again soon and tend to eat more on your next meal. while fiber makes you feel full for a longer time and you can wait longer before you eat again.

  • kylmrtn says:

    let them eat cake?

  • muritkayungan says:

i totally agree with that guy!!!!!!!

  • marneedear says:

You’re right. Get the Marxists in here to make us do manual labor all day long for nothing in return. We will all be better off if we dont work on computers or use the internet. To the shipyards and mines with you lazy bourgeois!

    /sarcasm off

  • marneedear says:

True! There is reasonable evidence that there is absolutely no difference between organicaly farmed food and conventionaly farmed, even as far as pesticides are concerned. Oh, and organic farming still uses pesticides.

  • marneedear says:

there are foods that can speed up or slow down the metabolism.

no there are not. there is no scientific evidence of this.

however stimulants can control the appetite.

  • Jellyfish857 says:
