Positive Self Development Has a New Direction
I’ve been busy this week re-designing the Positive Self Development site.
This follows an in depth study that looked at the mission of Positive Self Development and which direction the project should go.
The Positive Self Development project was started in October 2008 and originally looked at the field of Positive Psychology. Since then it has widened in scope to include all aspects of Self Development.
I am now focusing on the 6 major categories that anyone who wants a happy and successful life needs to concentrate on.
These are:
- Emotional Well-Being - The tools and techniques you need to psychologically grow and live in a healthy manner. Emotional well-being is the art of being happy. To achieve this you need to know how to deal with the feelings that prevent you from being happy. These include stress, anxiety, low self esteem and lack of confidence.
- Healthy Lifestyle - The information you need for optimum health. This includes nutrition, exercise, illness prevention and natural health tips.
- Relationships - You are a social animal and need to relate harmoniously to your partner, your family and the society in which you live.
- Spirituality - How you are connected to something greater than yourself.
- Success Skills - The skills which you need to make your life a success. These include time management, organizing you life, goal setting and how you lead or interact with team members.
- Wealth - The art of abundant living. This includes your personal finances, developing a business, your career and how to share your wealth.
It’s Now Easy to Navigate Using the Category Bar
The category bar is the second menu bar at the top of this page. As your mouse hovers over a category, the sub-categories are revealed. More sub categories will be added in the future. To read all articles in a category click on the name of the category. To read only articles in a subcategory then click on the sub category.
Alternately you can explore the articles using the category section on the right hand side of the page. There you will find a drop down menu with all the categories and subcategories. The numbers in brackets tells you how many articles are in each category.
Resources to Support You
The resource section (click on the word Resource on the top menu bar) contains resources that will help you develop your skills in each category.
There aren’t resources in every category yet. This section will be developed shortly.
